It’s been a wonderful October, with striking fall colours, beautiful blue skies, and crisp fall mornings. Let’s hope that our winter weather here on Vancouver Island continues to be moderately influenced by La Nina.

Several interesting events are happening in and around Nanoose Bay this coming weekend. Of course, with the advent of Halloween, many tourists and locals will be out and about seeking to find their spooky nirvana.

One of my favourite events is the Art of Fire – Mid Island Potters Show and Sale as there are so many talented local artists who favour pottery as their artistic expression and create phenomenal pieces inspired by the beauty of the area.

The Milner Garden’s Fall Opening is another event that shouldn’t be missed in order to view a tapestry of vibrant fall colours that will take your breath away. Milner Gardens is located between Parksville and Qualicum Beach.

Errington Hall Pumpkin Trail and Fireworks will bring joy to young and old alike. It’s time to get out and enjoy all that Errington has to offer with a light trail walk, candy, and fireworks.

There are many more enticing events that can be found throughout the oceanside communities of Nanoose Bay, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach. Of course, all of the golf courses are in prime shape right now, with bright green fairways, fall colours, and plentiful tee times.

Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween weekend!
